Gomoku - Connect6 Help | |||||||||||
DescriptionGomoku - Connect6 is a modern variation of the classic Japanese game Gomoku. Connect6 was invented in 2003 by Professor I-Chen Wu to deal with the issue of the "first turn advantage" which plagues Gomoku and other "connect-X" games. InstructionsObjectiveGet six or more pieces in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.RulesThe first player places a single stone on the board to start. From that point forward, each player places two stones on their turn. This continues until one player gets at least six in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Note that unlike Gomoku, in Connect6 it's six or more pieces in a row for a victory (whereas in Gomoku, it must be exactly five).If the game board is completely filled and neither player has won, the game is a draw. |
