hi,.. any thoughts on when playing radar salvo war, stragedy regarding spacing out the ships ? i fins a couple players i play, space then so well, i rarely get a hit first two turns,. they are wizards at it.. and i find putting ships vertical instead of horizonatal increases the missed for the oponent.. what u think ?
It's an interesting topic but I think people are cautious about giving away their secrets! (He says without adding his own ship placement strategies). ;o)
But I do think that one of the most important things, especially against a top five player like yourself, is to mix it up and try and avoid being predictable. That means sometimes (but definitely less often than more) using a placement that might otherwise be considered weak, such as clumping the ships together in one area.
yes i agree people are cautious, and rightfully so ..lol
i find most newer players equally space out the ships as if to give them all a little room,.. and if someone has a ship on the side or top edge,. there are sually 2 or 3 on the edge..
yes, i agree mixing it up, connecting the smaller ships to appear like a 4 ship is sunk instead of a 3 and a shot in a 2ship, etc.. sometimes make a s or 5 shape with the ships works.. regarding shots, hitting every second or 3rd square works well..
i got 5 hits ,. one on each ship first turn.. bit flukey lucky rare i think ? anyone else ?
