When you accept a private invitation, the game goes back to the other player -- that is, when you accept, it's the other player's turn. So the new game shows up on your "Their Turn" list on the Current Games page, but not the "Your Turn" list until the other player moves.
Looks like Roy's moved since you posted this and you've had an exchange of turns; Andy probably just hasn't gotten to the game yet.

hi again ok all turned out fine. now, can u tell me how do i invite another player for a 2nd game. have just ended the 1st. the other thing is, how do i stop players from starting games with me! I havent been asked! lol
You'll probably have better luck putting questions like this in the Problems and Solutions forum; some players check it periodically but may not check the Backgammon forum.

You can invite a player to a game in many ways; probably the easiest way is to go to their profile (by clicking their name, or by searching the Member Directory, which is available from the New Game link) -- there's a drop-down list of all of the games there and an Invite button.
Or you can go to the New Game page, choose the game from the list at the top of the page, and then browse your buddy list or the Member Directory for an opponent. Either way, you'll get to a page where you can type in a message to send with the invite.

That's because you've put two open invitations in the waiting room, Backgammon and Backgammon Match 5. The nature of an open invitation is that anyone can take you up on it. If you don't want to play with them, though, just click the Resign button right away -- games resigned within the first three moves don't count. And/or you can remove your open invitations from the waiting room by going to the waiting room, finding them, and clicking the [Delete] link; and then only send invitations to specific people (or accept ones they send you).
