Hi folks, I've posted the rules page for Halma here: http://www.pocket-monkey.com/help-halma.jsp. Comments welcome! And many thanks to everyone who helped out in the questions thread. (Side note: Wendy will probably do better graphics for Halma, so take those screenshots with a grain of salt.) I expect to be able to put the game on the site (for testing only, all games unrated) next Sunday. Once there have been no Halma-specific bugs reported for (say) seven days, I'll open it up to rated games. -- T.J. Crowder First Primate Pocket-Monkey.com

Hey Tim, Good point, I didn't actually say it and the sample picture gives the wrong impression. I'll put it in the text and change the color of one of the pieces in the graphic. Thanks! -- T.J. :-)

Let me get this right - the beta version of Halma will be on the live site [here] but not-rated games? Isn't this what the beta site is for?

Well, that's a question. :-) The beta site is for pre-testing changes that have any significant chance of preventing the site from running properly. There will be some of these soon as I do some infrastructure improvements. But adding the Halma game only affects Halma (this wasn't true of, say, Connect6 which also affected Gomoku), so I thought we might as well through the beta on the live site since it's no danger to anything else... (I'm not saying it won't be on the beta site a couple of days before it's on the live site...hint hint.) -- T.J. Crowder First Primate Pocket-Monkey.com

Aside from the comment about being able to jump over either color which was already addressed and handled I think you did very well T. J. I'm perfectly willing to beta test this with the others for you. Just say the word. :)
